Transcript

Welcome to The Road to Genome, the podcast that journeys into the world of genomics in healthcare.

Your host for the show is Helen Bethell, genetic counselor and workforce development and education lead with the North East and Yorkshire Genomic Medicine Service.

The podcast releases weekly on Mondays at 6am with a series of engaging 20 to 30 minute episodes.

In each episode, we talk to guests who share their own journeys in genomics, whether they be personal, professional, or both.

We uncover some of the science behind genomics, chat to healthcare professionals about their different career paths and the interesting, sometimes unexpected, choices they've made, and we gain insights into the emotional roller coaster experienced by patients undergoing genetic testing.

So, if all of that sounds interesting, and you're curious to start your own journey of discovery, why not join us on The Road to Genome, starting Monday the 11th of March.

The show is available on all podcast apps, including Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and Amazon.
